Welcome friends
Hi friends, and welcome to my blog. I hope you will read about my new book and choose to get a copy. I’ts meant to bring a little laughter to your heart and point you to some of the Lord’s many truths from His word that help us in our journey of life.
I often refer to a lot of what I write as Christian gossip. (Now there’s a contradiction of terms!) But it’s because sometimes when I’m thinking about some Bibical truth, it gets somewhat mixed up in my head and comes out little stretched and slightly altered. lol! But I always say, brains are a little like eggs. When they get scrambled enough, something good comes out of it.
Gossip of course, is usually a slight diversion of the truth. Oh, it may start out as the truth, which is still gossip if you shouldn’t be repeating it to the person you are sharing it with. But usually, by the time it gets repeated a time or two, it becomes a little less accurate! So I encourage you to read the scriptures printed at the end of each episode; they are Bible passages that are referred to in the stories. This will give you the most accurate account of the truth of the matter!
From time to time, I will share with you a special message from a portion of the book that applies to our lives as we interact with others. But today, in Prov. 17:22, Solomon tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine. I pray you will get a healthy dose of God’s medicine for your soul as you read this humorous book. And please share the stories with your group at church or any other place you gather with friends. The theme song for the book,” Gossiping for Jesus,” conveys the message that if we must gossip, let’s make it count for eternity! I welcome your thoughts and comments on this blog. ‘Til we meet again, Nancy Nonsense Ebersole
